Araceli Hampton, School-Wide ELL Coordinator Araceli Hampton has over 20 years experience teaching English language learners. She has worked in Texas, Costa Rica, and Qatar. She is happy to be leading the KIS-Jeju ELL Department into a 21st Century linguistic program. She takes pride in the fact that her first language was not English. "I believe that we are always learning language from each other. I've never stopped learning and I hope that my students will learn to be life-long learners of English." Contact:[email protected] Angela Campagna - ES Lead and Grade 1 Angela is from Windsor, Ontario, Canada. She has taught in Canada, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, and Busan, South Korea. She holds a master’s degree in Education and ELL specialist qualification from Queen’s University, a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Ottawa, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Windsor. Angela believes that it is essential to create a positive, welcoming classroom community in order to build students’ confidence to take risks with their language learning. She is very excited to be living on Jeju and working at KISJ! He has worked with students from South Korea, Vietnam, and China. He believes that English language students learners benefit from direct, explicit instruction in successful literacy strategies. He is thrilled to be working with the students at KISJ! Contact: [email protected] Feliz Landes - Grade 3 Feliz Landes grew up in Dallas, Texas. Most recently she has worked in Yangon, Myanmar. She holds a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from The American College of Education, and a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from The University of Texas at Dallas. Feliz joined KISJ in 2017–18. Ms. Landes is excited to continuing learning and growing as an ELL teacher here at Korea International School Jeju. Contact: [email protected] Elaine C. M. Costeira - Grade 5 Ms. Costeira has 15 years of teaching experience. She has taught in China, Thailand, Japan and Canada. She has a bachelor's degree in Modern Language, a bachelor's degree in Education and a master's degree in Applied Linguistics. Ms. Costeira has extensive training in working with students who are learning an additional language, including English language learners. Language learning and teaching is her professional passion, but in her free time she enjoys dancing with her daughters, singing with her husband, and going for walks. Contact: [email protected] Kelly Meredith - Grade 2 Kelly is originally from Colorado in the US. She has been teaching for 11 years in the US, Croatia, and most recently in Doha, Qatar. She has a masters degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Students of Other Languages) and a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.
